The Vancouver MINI Cooper Club -- officially known as the BC MINI Cooper Society -- is a not-for-profit organization offering new MINI owners the opportunity to share the MINI experience through club drives, meets and participation in existing car events throughout BC and the Pacific Northwest.
The VMCC began as an online idea in an MSN forum in March 2002, just as the newly re-launched MINI was entering North American markets, and has now developed into an active and vibrant club, with membership increasing each year.
Having celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2012, the VMCC continues to welcome new MINI owners to its ranks as the number of MINI models and styles continues to grow. With the increase in MINI dealerships in the Lower Mainland, club members find a warm welcome at every turn.
The VMCC website features Club news, drive and event details, MINI photos and links, and a sign-up form for new members. The club also has Facebook and Twitter pages.
Mostly, the VMCC prides itself on grassroots events, regular annual drives to popular destinations such as Whistler, Mt. Baker and Harrison Lake, and inner city drives to maintain ties to club roots. Events often involve the participation of the now three Lower Mainland MINI dealerships -- Yaletown, Richmond and Langley -- and our drives always include a roundabout!
The club has also provides discounts and deals from local MINI supporting business and online aftermarket dealers. These can be found in the members area.
